Catching rainbow and kokanee offshore in May

Fisherman's Special

If catching record breaking kokanee is your dream, then Wallowa Lake is your place! Wallowa Lake fishing is best April-May, but most fishermen don't get here until June and then complain "the fish weren't biting!" as the temperatures heat up and the fish go deeper. In May, we can often catch kokanee and lake trout from the shore, no kidding! For those who are serious about catching fish, we offer the following deal from opening day until Thursday of Memorial Weekend:

  • Free boat parking even in the space right beside you (plug in your trolling motor) as there's always room in May!
  • Book one 2+ night reservation and get a 2nd site 1/2 off bring your friends and family

To take advantage of this special, you must call or email and mention "fisherman's special" to receive the 1/2 off discount on your 2nd site. For those watching the weather, we are flexible on moving reservations around in May to adjust for a change in plans, though there's a little known secret about the month of May- it's often 60's and sunny with less rain than June!
